Unfortunately for Snake, though, Mantis will learn and begin to dodge Snake's bullets again. Disconnect the controller and reconnect it to another port and you'll definitely see a difference as Mantis takes a few hits in a row. To get past Mantis' defenses you'll have to switch the controller port in which your GameCube controller is plugged. You'll quickly find that no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to get a bead on Psycho Mantis with his ability to read your mind, Mantis can evade nearly every bullet you fire while he clutters the room with flying statues and paintings. Either way, another cut-scene will follow the action as Psycho Mantis reveals himself. You can either punch her unconscious, doing minor damage to her, or simply toss a STUN grenade to knock her out cold. As the cut-scene ends, Psycho Mantis forces Meryl to shoot at Snake, and Snake has to stop her without killing her.
